-The Test of Time-

A human is born
the world celebrates
A human goes on
the world yet remains
The trees grow up
green boughs stretch out
the tree withers dead
the world's still around

The buildings rise
the cities built
the buildings fall
the world still won't wilt
The river flows
ages go by
the river dries up
the world still stands time

Mountains stand proud
time is lost
yet mountains still crumble
to the world no cost
But the ages will pass
eternity will come
and even the world
will eventually be undone

What then is a human
beyond heart and mind
an insignificant speck
in the endless mist of time
