Specialization: cuts knowledge at a thousand points and leaves it bleeding...

"Yeah, well that's the thing about specialization, it fills people up and crowds out their worldview, makes them incapable of looking at subject matter through other disciplinary viewpoints. In fact, it cuts viewpoints up into 'disciplines' in the first place!"

"Education is fracturing the way we understand the world, breaking the uniform lens and tinting it a hundred different ways, all the while casting shadows over us that make it harder and harder to put the pieces together!"
